Travelers passionated for mountains
If you’re not a skier but would like to explore the region in winter then we can simply replace all skiing days with hiking. All the rest of the program remains the same.
Accommodation: option 1 – hostel
Located near city center. Common kitchen & shower. Good option for big groups. All rooms contains single beds. Only one room with double bed, please tell us if you like to book it.
Accommodation: option 2 – private apartments
Private apartments with beds for 2 persons. Good option for couples and small groups. Located near city center.
Shymbulak ski resort
Elevation of 2,200 meters (7,200 ft) above sea level. Highest point – 3200 meters ASL.

Ak-bulak ski resort
Nice freeride spots available from ski lift. “Black” slope with very steep faces (up to 40 degrees). Lower elevation level than at Shymbulak but bigger amount of average snow cover.
Food options in Yurt
Everything* you will find in mall: snacks, cereals, pasta, instant porridge, sausages, ready-to-cook food. You may choose what you like with our help directly in place.

Day 7 option: backcountry near city
If you will not be full by BC at the moment and snow conditions will be appropriate then you may choose this option.
Day 7 option: tour on attraction spots in mountains
Day 7 option: bathhouse
Program includes prepayed 3 hours of public bathhouses services including access to Russian bath, Turkish bath, Finnish sauna, water pool. Men’s baths and woman’s baths are separate. Bath accessories sandals and towel are also included.
Day 7 option: small city tour
Visiting most popular tourists attraction spots like cultural objects, parks, squares.

Booking and airline tickets
The suggested order will be:
- find flight tickets in Almaty for the desired dates. You may add several days for your staying in Almaty without any problems but extra days are not included in program so you should have a some money reserve.
- make a booking for the selected days by using the form above
- after receiving prepayment we will confirm the booking. Please note that groups may intersect so if the beginning or the end of desired interval is busy there is still a chance that everything will be fine.
- buy the flight tickets
Prepayment and reservation
Prepayment for groups 3-4 persons – $99
Prepayment for groups 5-8 persons – $199
After receiving your reservation we will mark selected dates as “pending approval” (yellow). We will contact you for further details as soon as possible and after receiving the clear prepayment of value $199 * group_size we will secure your booking (red color).
Booking cancellation and returns
- 100% refund at your paypal account (minus paypal fees *) prior to 4 months before selected dates
- 50% refund (minus paypal fees *) for cancellation in 2-4 months period before arrival
- no refund on cancellation in period less than 2 months before arrival
* Paypal fees are 3.4% + fixed value $0,30 in both ways. For example for $99 return will be $99 – ($3,36+$0,30) = $95,34 – ($3,24+$0,30) = $91,8.
