You will experience unforgettable views of majestic glaciers and rocky peaks. Accommodation in a traditional yurt creates an atmosphere rooted in the ancient cultural heritage of Kazakhstan. From Talgar Pass, you’ll enjoy mesmerizing sunsets and a breathtaking panorama over
the city of Almaty

Program schedule

  • Departure from Almaty at 7:00 a.m.

    Transfer to the Medeu sports complex.

  • Ascent by cable car to Talgar Pass

    at 3,163 meters above sea level

  • Accommodation in a traditional Kazakh yurt

    Sleeping arrangements are on the heated floor of the yurt, with additional heaters inside. Electricity is available in the yurt.

  • Skiing

    This day includes a ski tour towards Chkalov Peak (3,892 m) or Pioneer Pass (3,840 m).

  • Climbing: 700-750 vertical meters

  • Slope steepness: 20-30 degrees

  • Duration: 4–5 hours

  • Recreational program

    Return to the yurt, rest, and free time. Dinner in a traditional Kazakh yurt. Overnight stay in the yurt.

  • Wake up at 6:00 a.m. / Breakfast at 6:30 a.m.

    Equipment check and departure

  • Ski tour to the Til Glacier

    at 3,900 meters above sea level

  • Duration: 4–5 hours

  • Climbing: 700-850 vertical meters

  • Slope steepness: 20-30 degrees

  • Evening program

    Return to the yurt, rest, and free time. Dinner in the national yurt. Overnight stay in the yurt.

  • Wake up at 6:00 a.m. / Breakfast at 6:30 a.m.

    Equipment check and departure for ski tour at 7:30 AM.

  • Ski tour to the Bogdanovich Glacier cirque

    with an ascent to Komsomolsky Pass (4,000 m), offering views of the stunning snow-
    covered Karltau Peak (4,100 m).

  • Duration: 5–6 hours

  • Climbing: 900 vertical meters

  • Descent distance: 6km

  • Slope steepness: 20-30 degrees

  • Return to the yurt

    rest, and free time

  • Return back

    Descent via the Shymbulak–Medeu cable car. Transfer back to Almaty.

Tour cost

1250 $ per person

30% deposit required to secure the booking

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 3 days before the start of the program.

The number of days in the program can be adjusted upon request.

* If you cancel your trip less then5 days in advance, the prepayment will be withheld.

** Transfer fee charges in case of deposit refund are covered by the client.

*** Depending on weather, air temperature and show conditions, guides have the right to make changes in the program.
